Our Hotel block opened on 22nd January 2024. We have 1,800 rooms reserved across over 30 hotels (including 7 on-site), ranging from budget price to 5* in the City Centre (within 2 miles of SEC).

To ensure that the discounted convention rates only go to our members, they must be accessed through the Glasgow 2024 membership portal. You will need to log in as an individual Worldcon participant at https://registration.glasgow2024.org/login-participant. See our registration FAQ for details on how to do this. Once you have logged in, you will find details of your membership and a link that takes you to instructions on booking your hotel.

Rates and Hotels

Our rates are commercially sensitive, so we are not able to share full details publicly. Our lowest rate is £125 Single Occupancy and £135 Double Occupancy, our highest rate is £329 Single Occupancy and £345 Double Occupancy, with our average room rate being £163 Single Occupancy and £176 Double Occupancy. Please note that these rates include all taxes and most (over 95%) include a full breakfast.

Glasgow has 9,500 hotel bedrooms within 2 miles of the SEC, and there are 8 on-site hotels within a 5-minute walk. If you would rather find your own accommodation, there are also 2,000 AirBnB rooms, and 1,200 Guesthouse/Bed & Breakfast rooms in the city, plus other hotels further out from the centre.

Accessible accommodations

Our hotel blocks include an amount of accessible accommodation: rooms set aside for members with accessibility needs. Details of this has been emailed separately to members with Attending Supplements who registered with our accessibility team.
