Bob Layzell
Bob Layzell (born 1940) is a legendary illustrator from the golden age of British Sci-fi art. That means two things, 70’s book covers and the Terran Trade Authority (TTA). His display at Glasgow 2024 will be his first exhibit in a decade, featuring work from the early 2000s to some of his most recent pieces.
Bob’s colourful work is instantly recognizable, with his designs having a gritty, apocalyptic and futuristic feel, somewhere between the aerodynamic streamlining of Jim Burns and the industrial look of Chris Foss. He was born and still lives in Brighton.
