Jackie Duckworth
Jackie’s first career was in genetics, but she was always drawn to art. In 2007 she left science and studied Illustration at Anglia Ruskin before becoming a freelance illustrator and artist.
She is a printmaker working mostly in linocut and more recently in monoprint and collage. Her themes in her own art are mostly historical and mythological. As well as at SF conventions, she regularly exhibits in her local area and elsewhere in the UK.
She has illustrated book covers, magazines and theatre posters. An avid reader of F&SF since childhood, she welcomes any chance to use her skills on genre fiction. She is a regular contributor to the Scottish SF magazine Shoreline of Infinity.
More recently, she has become involved in running Eastercon art shows, which has proved a great way to make new artist friends!
