I live on the Isle of Wight, off the south coast of the United Kingdom. I started life in Oxford and moved here with my parents when a child. After leaving school I studied to be a Technical Illustrator at Portsmouth College of Art. I worked first in the Printing Industry, and then at the Royal Astronomical Society as an Editorial Assistant. I then worked as a Visual Effects Assistant in the film and TV industry with my Husband. He was a Visual Effects Supervisor, having worked in the industry for many years. Sadly, he developed a rare form of blood cancer in the mid 2010’s and succumbed to his illness in the Spring of 2021.

I have been painting all my life, but mainly landscapes and seascapes with a few science fiction paintings. As I have always loved Space, Astronomy, and Science Fiction, I have now decided to mainly paint these subjects. I don’t have many space themed paintings yet, but try to paint each week if I can. I mainly paint in oils, although I do also use other mediums too. I have been influenced by the paintings of Chesley Bonestell and David Hardy, as well as other artists. I use NASA images as a reference and guide for my paintings, although I don’t copy them. I do have a website, although it isn’t updated as often as it should be. I am also on Facebook, which is updated a bit more often.
