Wendy Van Camp
Wendy Van Camp, Anaheim’s Poet Laureate Emerita, specializes in the micro-poetry form “scifaiku.” Which is science fiction themed haiku poetry. The subjects range from astronomy, space travel, and time travel.
Wendy’s poetry illustrations begin on Canson XL paper using a fountain pen for inking. She scans the illustrations to create her limited edition black and white art prints.
Her illustrations caught the eye of the editor of the anthology, “Quantum Visions.” This led to an eight-year tenure as the anthology’s interior illustrator. Now her artwork appears at San Diego Comic-Con Art Show and other science fiction conventions Wendy attends as a panelist. Wendy’s debut poetry collection, “The Planets,” also features her unique illustrations.
