Discovering Worldcon: Art Show

The art show is always a traditional and important part of any Worldcon, and this year in Glasgow is no different. This year, the show is being run by Serena Culfeather and John Wilson. They have a wealth of experience, having run art shows for Loncon 3 and Dublin 2019 as well as many Eastercons and Novacons in the UK. They are always keen to work with artists to ensure they bring the best display possible.

At Glasgow 2024, there will be a special display from one of our guests of honour, Chris Baker, showing his work through the years. In addition, we are happy to say that we will have works by many artists joining us from the UK and further afield. We will have original artworks and sculptures, and there will also be some lovely jewellery to bid on. Many works in the gallery will be for sale in the silent auction as well as via “buy it now” instant sales. We will also have a print shop where you can purchase print reproductions and cards along with other smaller items.

Further information on artists appearing is available on our site: https://glasgow2024.org/whats-on/art-show/

So please come along to visit us—you will find us in hall 5. We look forward to seeing you.

The art show team consists of Serena Culfeather and John Wilson; both are experienced in running art shows for Worldcon as well as Eastercon and Novacon. They are aided by Alice Lawson, who has worked on many convention committees—including co-chairing Loncon 3.

The 82nd Worldcon will take place in Glasgow, August 8–12, 2024. We can’t wait to welcome you to Glasgow and the SEC/Armadillo for a Worldcon for Our Futures.
