Crafting has been a thread that has run through Glasgow 2024, from bid, to build up, and now to con itself. Creativity in all forms is something we believe should be celebrated and shared. It sits at the heart of our community—not just in our professional and fan artists but in everyone who loves to make things and finds a sense of joy in that and sharing it with others. This is Glasgow 2024’s final craft project and everyone is welcome to participate—no matter your making level. Come take part in this amazing project and help us make something both beautiful and comforting.
The Project
Glasgow 2024 members are invited to come to the craft workshop area in Hall 4 to knit or crochet a square for a blanket. Squares could be space-themed, or plain; ideally, they will be 4 x 4 inches or 8 x 8 inches. Afterward, the squares will be sewn into a blanket for the charity ‘Project Linus.’
Please use the acrylic yarn supplied at the project station, or any other acrylic. There will also be knitting needles and crochet hooks for people to borrow.
